and also weird cat purring, which will happen eventually. it's not really audible purring so much as a vague sense of contentment, directly in your head. ]

[That's... not his. He's sure of that much. He doesn't want to analyze why he knows that, and he doesn't really want to deal with it, but he wants even less to just put up with random mind invasions. He wants that to stop more than he wants to keep napping.

So he mulls that over a bit before he stops trying to sleep, rolling back to face his bedmate and propping himself up with an elbow to watch weird cat.]

[ cracking an eye open to look at him. it's very blue, and slit-pupiled ]

Haa, maybe I should nap less. I'm starting to get weird dreams, you know?

[ the "voice" is a mild tenor, politely curious in tone ]

They say oversleep does all sorts of weird things to a guy. Of course, I don't believe a word of it, so that's that. What brings you to my bed? Wrong inn room?

[ executes a yawn/stretch combo that leaves his forearms dangling off the side of the bed ]

No, this was the right room.

So I was given the wrong key? My, sorry for the intrusion, I'll go ask for the right one from the front desk.

You were given the correct key. I don't have one.

I opened it. I did shut it behind me.

A kindred spirit! I can respect that! But neither of us will sleep until I get an actual answer.

[ it's cute that you think you can tell me what to do. putting his ears back and settling in to groom one forearm ]

It's the truth, and more detail than that isn't actually your business.

And I can make you stop. You won't remember this after I leave, anyway.

[he gets starry-eyed, trying to analyze Lucky's magic- if there is any.]

[ there are traces, probably, of whatever was involved in his making (handwaving of weird auing intensifies) but he does not seem to have any of his own.

on the other hand, Ryner does get a feeling not unlike someone looking over his shoulder at what he's doing at the same time as the cat thing sits up a little, intrigued ]

[he stops immediately when he gets that sense, startling. there's some discomfort there because magic experimentation, but he quickly surmises there's no magic inherent in Lucky.]
