[ glances off in the direction of the lightswitch (or lamp, if Garry has one) and then squints his eyes shut. this has the bonus of letting him not be blinded when they come on.

the thing lying across Garry's legs is very catlike in a more housecat way than a big cat way, despite the size. he's even blue-gray tabby patterned. the ears and muzzle aren't quite right, though, and both his front and hind paws are handlike. ]

and also weird cat purring, which will happen eventually. it's not really audible purring so much as a vague sense of contentment, directly in your head. ]

[That's... not his. He's sure of that much. He doesn't want to analyze why he knows that, and he doesn't really want to deal with it, but he wants even less to just put up with random mind invasions. He wants that to stop more than he wants to keep napping.

So he mulls that over a bit before he stops trying to sleep, rolling back to face his bedmate and propping himself up with an elbow to watch weird cat.]
