Lucky is very nearly mute! He can make very small high pitched noises, but that's it. This is a defect that was introduced into the first attempt at making his model of bioweapon that was then kept, ostensibly because it would keep him stealthy but in actuality because nobody wanted to deal with a toddler psychic cat yowling when he wanted things. (Which didn't work, as he learned to yowl via psychic powers instead. Good job.)
Once he tried catnip when he was somewhere in the 10-13 range and accidentally destroyed half of his mom's house :( There are very few things that outright embarrass him. Remembering that is one of them. (Even if he steadfastly refuses to admit that was his fault. His older brother gave him the catnip, therefore he is absolved of all responsibility.)
He was adopted (technically fostered) by a human family from the ages of one and a half to sixteen! He has a sister about the same age, and a brother three years older than him. His sister was the one who named him. The family's attitude towards him is somewhere between "weird pet" and "idiot baby of the family." He loves them all very much and being told that he would not actually be given regular vacations to visit them had a large part to do with his deciding to go "nah" to the military and take off.
Sex/genderwise: he identifies male, but physically has undifferentiated gonads and genitalia due to genetic damage from the whole cloning/engineering process. His makers decided not to try to fix it, since they didn't want him to be fertile or have the distraction of a sex drive anyway. (It was actually assumed he'd identify female for a while, partly due to traditional gender assignation protocol and partly because the first generation model did.)
